NUMBERS increased by 382 to 3614 head at Wednesday's Longreach cattle sale. with a good offering of grown cattle.
According to MLA's National Livestock Reporting Service the usual buyers were present and operating across all weight classes.
Medium weight C2 vealers steers remained unchanged on 194c while the heifer portion settled on 178c back 4c.
Light yearling steers were relatively steady to average 169c with the heavy weights ranging from 172c to 190c.
NLRS said ight yearling C3 heifers eased 1c on 171c while the heavy portion topped at 190c to settle on 184c.
Heavy C3 grown steers were firm on 165c while bullocks ranged from 140c to 166c to average 163c/kg.
Light D3 muscled heifers topped at 166c to make 155c/kg on average.
The better quality medium weight cows were stronger averaging 129c while heavy weight D3’s ranged from 122c to 138c.
