UK - BPEX redefines dead average pig price (DAPP)

Following discussion, the BPEX board agreed that the sample of the dead weight average pig price (DAPP) would be expanded to cover a broader spectrum of the pig market.
From today, the DAPP will be calculated using information from the following eight processors, covering 15 sites:
HG Blake
Cheale Meats Ltd
Cranswick Country Foods
FA Gill
Tulip Ltd
Vion
G Wood & Sons
Woodhead Bros
BPEX is looking to expand the sample of participating abattoirs further in the coming weeks.
