Russia - More US beef bans for no valid reason

Due to the detection under the intensified laboratory control of salmonella in the consignment of chicken meal from establishment No ABP 142 PROCP3; 183/05 (ECB Componi srl) in Italy and mesophilic aerobic microorganisms, facultative anaerobic microorganisms and Listeria in the consignment of chilled beef from the establishment No 21-77 (AO “IDT DIN BARDAR”) in Moldavia the Rosselkhoznadzor imposes temporary restrictions on import of products from the abovementioned establishments from September 28, 2012. In case the products from these establishments shipped before September 28 come to Russia the decision related to their permission will be taken in the ordinary course after obligatory laboratory control for specific safety criteria is carried out.

 

 

 

Besides, due to the primary detection of mesophilic aerobic microorganisms and facultative anaerobic microorganisms in the consignment of chilled beef from establishment No 262 (National Beef Packing Company) in the USA the Rosselkhoznadzor introduces intensified laboratory control for specific safety criteria of food products from this establishment.
