Australia - Lamb prices come back
29 Sep 2012

National lamb supply at markets reported by MLA’s NLRS decreased 5% week-on-week. One factor behind the declines was the lower physical market prices experienced last week. NSW lamb supply decreased 9%, while Victoria experienced an 18% decline in supply. Conversely, SA lifted 24%, while WA supply surged as seasonal conditions deteriorate.
Sheep supply followed as similar trend to decline 2% week-on-week due to NSW and Victoria, while both SA and WA registered larger supplies.
