Canada - New poultry plant kicks off

Eden Valley Poultry , a joint venture between Maple Lodge Farms and United Poultry Producers Inc has started processing chickens at its plant in Berwick.
The plant processing poultry from Nova Scotia and Prince EDward Island is reported to have cost C$40 million as a refit of the former Larsen's pork processing plant, according to The Daily Business Buzz.
The Eden Valley plant will employ 180 people.
Work stated on the refit of the plant last year.
