SHOWING dairy cattle continues to be an event that young adults and teenagers are embracing.
Sophie, Harriet and Jack Louden from Modella will be showing Holstein dairy calves at the Royal Melbourne Dairy show which kicks off on Sunday September 16.
Sophie has been showing cattle since she was eight years old and has encouraged her younger siblings to get involved.
She has her own stud, Arrowlea.
Five heifers were purchased from a flush with each of the three kids given a heifer to start their own stud.
All calves shown were born in January and are E.T full sisters by semex sire Braedale Goldwyn.
Their father David Louden said the show was a good opportunity for the kids to meet others from all over the state.
"In the dairy show the kids have the opportunity to show in the youth and the main shows.
"The handlers class is also a great opportunity for them to learn training."
