The Humane Society of the United States calls on the Platte County prosecuting attorney to vigorously investigate and, if warranted, prosecute the employees and former employees of Wyoming Premium Farms whose actions the HSUS documented in an undercover investigation released almost three months ago.
To date, no legal action has resulted from the abuse of pigs documented at the facility in Wheatland since The HSUS released the investigative footage in early May.
The facility is owned by Sioux City-based Itoham America, Inc., and was a pig supplier for Tyson Foods until the company severed ties with the facility following the release of the HSUS investigation.
