Moves to form a new beef organisation to represent Scottish beef farmers which was in danger of coming off the rails over a dispute on how subscriptions would be collected, is reportedly still on track following yet another round of talks.
But it could be the end of September before the new board of the the Scottish Beef Association (which will replace the Scottish Beef Cattle Association and NBA (Scotland)) can be formed.
