Australia - Better money for lambskins
27 Oct 2012
Prices across most skin categories improved this week, despite a couple of contributors leaving their rates unchanged.
New season lamb skins increased $1/skin, while Merino and crossbred skins were 50¢ to $1/skin dearer.
There has been an increasing supply of spring lamb skins offered, which have been keenly sort after, with prices expected to remain firm.
Any skins displaying burr and seed contamination, largely from drier areas, are being discounted.
