OBLIGATORY certification of organic agriculture products in Brazil is due to start in Jan
uary 2011 and the programme will facilitate access of such products to export markets, announced officials from Brazil's agriculture ministry.
Roberto Guimarães Habib Mattar, head of the organic quality guarantee mechanisms division at the ministry, said that the introduction of a national organic seal for organic products will help to grow the internal market for such products and assist exports.
