The inaugural sale of registered
Lleyn sheep, at Bakewell Livestock Centre on Wednesday 15th August, was very well supported by both the local breeders and the livestock market.

The commercial show of sheep was complimented well with the commercial buyers present at the ringside.
The top priced females were the champion pen of the day from M Reader, Radnor Hall Farm, Congleton, Cheshire.
A pen of homebred shearling ewes bred from a HM Wells ram.
They sold for £155/head to ISJ Farming, Ashbourne.
In the ewe lamb section the top was £122/head for Linda Barnard of Hall Farm, Malton.
The 1st prize pen were bought by pre sale judge, Mike Kinnes of Kilham, Driffield.
G & A Fort, Brighton House Farm , Keighley topped the ram section with 800gns when selling to P Radford, Grantham.
The champion ram from TP Radford sold for 640gns to Hough Farm Partnership, Ashbourne.
