Slovakia - Anthrax confirmed in cattle

The veterinary authority sent an Immediate Notification dated 13 July to the World Organisation
for Animal Health (OIE).
According to the report, seven cattle in a herd of 120 animals died at a farm at Sobos, Svidník in the region of Presov on 9 July.
Infection was confirmed by bacteriological examination. The last outbreak of anthrax in the country was in 1995.
