A Mail on Sunday investigation – which will alarm anyone concerned about animal cruelty – has revealed that schools, hospitals, pubs and famous sporting venues such as Ascot and Twickenham are controversially serving up meat slaughtered in accordance with strict Islamic law to unwitting members of the public.
This Sunday Mail article by Nick Fagge is anti muslim and anti Jews, Mail On Sunday has not put the full facts it has not told its reader that it’s in the BNP National Fronts manifesto to out law ritual slaughter, it has not out lined the facts that all New Zealand and Australian meat is slaughtered halal, it has not identified that all Kellogg’s breakfast cereals has been certified Halal, lets not stop their all Macdonald’s chicken products are halal slaughtered, ALL KFC chicken products are slaughtered halal, in their halal and non halal outlets they all come from the same slaughterhouse, etc.
We as muslim have not asked for this its a case of simple economics, I as a muslim believe it should be properly labelled, so that the consumer has a choice. The British public weather they are muslim or not have right to what they are eating and what they are buying.
MOS has a duty to get its fact right on the state of the halal and Kosher market before going to print, this is just a another attack on the muslim and the Jews in this country, just like the Manifesto of the BNP National Front.
Sharia law expressly forbids knocking the animal out with a bolt gun, (fact not correct) as is usual in British slaughterhouses. Instead, it must be sentient when its throat is cut (Again not correct every animal has its throat cut in all the slaughter house in the UK), and the blood allowed to drip from the carcass while a religious phrase in praise of Allah is recited(they got that bit right)
But it is animal rights groups which have been most vociferous in their opposition to halal slaughter. Campaign organisation Viva!, whose supporters include Heather Mills and Joanna Lumley, said in a statement: ‘Other practices which may be undertaken for religious reasons, such as polygamy or the stoning of adulterers, are not permitted in the UK Why have not mention BNP which state in their manifesto the banning of all halal meat.
The rules state that the throat must be cut with one rapid, uninterrupted movement of the knife. Both carotid arteries and both jugular veins must be severed. This happen in every slaughter house up and down the country.
In addition, the knife must be inspected before each animal is slaughtered to ensure that it is of sufficient size and sharpness. We can use a knife or we can bore them to death.
Under these rules, the cut must be made to the right side of the neck by cutting the two carotids, the two jugulars, the windpipe and the gullet, but without breaking the spinal cord. The spinal cord has been the problem that's why we had BSE and CDJ in Brition, that’s why its important in halal process not to cut the spinal cord to stop cross contamination .
