A cheap shot at Muslims
I AM outraged about this — if I’d known these places were secretly serving halal food I would NEVER have gone for the veggie option.
But seriously, I sadly think this issue is being used as just another stick to beat Muslims with.
Why would Wembley serve halal meat when the majority of those who go to matches are not Muslim? It’s not because the Muslims have taken over and are demanding that all meat served is halal.
It’s because it’s better quality and CHEAPER.
It’s not Sharia law, it’s business law.
I admit the method of killing sounds cruel but some people argue “stunning” the animal is too.
And no method of killing animals is going to be “animal friendly” is it?
But I do think that these venues should make it known if they are serving halal meat.
Those who object on cruelty grounds have the right to know what they are eating.
