Australia - Cloncurry bull sales

CLONCURRY saw an influx of prominent bull producers from central and southern Queensland studs for the 4th annual Beef Leaders Premier Bull sale last week.
 




 
Palgrove Charolais stud, Rondel Droughtmasters and Lancefield and Tartrus Brahman studs catalogued 110 bulls representing some of the most celebrated genetics from across three breeds. 
 
Recognising the opportunity to secure impeccably bred bulls specifically selected to suit large scale cattle breeding enterprises, buyers bought every bull offered at the sale to average $5113.
 
A top of $17,000 was reached twice for both a Palgrove Charolais and Lancefield Brahman sire.
 
A 24 month old, Palgrove Champagne son, Palgrove Freelance sold for $13,000 to Frank Booth, Cowie Station, Cloncurry.
 
Palgrove Full-On, a 23 month old, milk tooth bull was purchased for $12,000 by Glenn and Lynnette Huntly, Kilburnie, Muckadilla.
