N Ireland - Vintage folk back corries 'Fun on the Farm'

17 Jul 2012

The message is clear! Co Down Traction Engine Club members, Jim Conway, Paddy McAvoy, Kenneth Bell and Charlie Malone are right behind the Corries ‘Fun on the Farm 2012’ event on Sat, Aug 18 in aid of Action Cancer at the Corrie family farm, Crossnamuckley Road, Newtownards.

Despite being already ‘extra busy’ planning their own annual event the previous weekend in Greyabbey  Co Down Traction Engine Club members are mounting a major moving display across the almost 1,000 acre Ards beef and dairy unit.

Clearly delighted at the ‘vintage men’s’ support are, from left  Cool FM DJ Sonja Mack,  William Corrie, Kerry Anderson, Action Cancer, Will Corrie and TV presenter Zoe Salmon.

As well as a family day out for all ages Corries ‘Fun on the Farm 2012’  running from noon to 6pm features aspects of  Ulster farming ranging from iconic wee Fergusons to the very latest  in 21st century agricultural innovation.
