Specialist meat processing company, Kettyle Irish Foods based in Fermanagh is celebrating after picking up six accolades in the prestigious Great Taste Awards.
Kettyle Irish Foods, part of the Linden Food Group, received awards across a wide range of their products including a coveted three gold star award and nomination for the Prestigious Golden Fork Awards for its Kettyle Dry aged Marrow Butter.
A further two star gold was awarded to Kettyle’s Dry Aged Wing Rib Steak which is a traditional cut that proved extremely popular with the judges who said in their testimonials ‘enticing and appetising’ ‘soft, tender, moist, lovely fat with no gristle between meat and fat, an overall excellent beefy flavour!’
A further string of one star awards where then presented to Dry Aged fillet steak, Dry Aged Ribeye steak and both Kettyle bacon’s.....an all round good result for this Northern Irish Meat producer.
The Great Taste Awards which is organised by the Guild of Fine Food is often referred to as the Oscars of the food industry. Spearheaded by a judging panel comprised of over 350 industry experts from fine food retailers to chefs, restaurant critics to food writers, the awards are respected as the authoritative, independent standard for Britain’s fine food sector and set the benchmark for independently proven fine food.

From the 8807 products that were entered less than 2% received a coveted three- star gold Great Taste Award.
