Sluggish demand saw the sale average come in at $4616 (down by $330 per head when compared to the 2011 sale) for the 73 bulls sold at auction to clear 94 percent of the catalogue.
Eleven less bulls were sold compared to the previous years result while clearance levels dropped by five percent. Those few bulls that failed to sell at auction were sold immediately after.
Topping the market at $9000 was the 26-month-old Medway Solution (P) offered by Hastings and Sandra Donaldson and family, Medway Stud, Bogantungan.
Taking the son of Glenlands Lindsay (P) with an EMA measurement of 130 cm sq and a final weight of 830kg and scans of 12/7mm was the Barton family, Huntly stud, Clermont via phone.
