Ecuador - FMD vaccination for cattle

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has vaccinated over three million cattle for foot and mouth disease (FMD) over the last month. 
 
 
 
This completes the first phase of a vaccination programme supported by the Ministry to eradicate the disease. 

Between the 28 May and 1 July the first phase was undertaken.
 
The second phase will see more cattle vaccinated, and it is hoped it will be completed by 11 July.
