N.Ireland - Suckled calf sales

A brisk trade prevailed for the excellent entry of suckled calves on offer at last Friday's Show and Sale, which was sponsored by the Northern Bank. 

The Champion Calf, a Char Bullock owned by Andrew Adams, Fivemiletown, winner of the Northern Bank Perpetual Cup, sold for £1080/410 kg. Second prize went to E Kelly, Augher, Char £730/300 kg (not sold) and third prize to Thomas Pickles, Enniskillen, for a Char, £780/300 kg. 

HEIFERS - First prize and Reserve Champion went to A. Adams, Fivemiletown for a Char £680/270 kg. second prize to A. Adams, for a BB £740/370 kg and third prize to John Donnelly, Trillick, for a Char £670/290 kg.
