Since the importers committed violations for the first time the Rosselkhoznadzor considered it possible not to impose restrictions on these plants but to strengthen laboratory control according to safety criteria in the detected risk group.
At the same time due to redetection of mesophilic aerobic and facultatively anaerobic microorganisms in a consignment of boneless beef from Australian Plant No. 384 384 (JBS Australia Pty Ltd.), Listeria in a consignment of pork from Spanish Plant No. 10.05213/GE (FRECARN S.A.) and E.coli bacteria in frozen mussel meat from Chinese Plant No. 3700/02A75 (Rizhao Longxing LTD), the Rosselkhoznadzor considered it necessary to impose temporary restrictions on import of these products on the 9th September 2012.
