Strong confidence in Quality Standard beef among Italian consumers was highlighted at a major EBLEX event.
Around 60 guests, including 28 journalists, attended the EBLEX Beef Day at the Palazzo Cusani, in the heart of Milan, to hear about the positive consumer research.
Labelling, marketing and the importance of beef in human nutrition were also discussed and the day concluded with a tasting of beef dishes prepared by famous Milanese Chef Andrea Berton.
Jean-Pierre Garnier, EBLEX export manager, said: “We have positioned Quality Standard Mark beef strongly as a premium offer in the Italian market, particularly for food service. This event underlined our commitment to promoting ‘matured beef’.
“The results of the research were also particularly encouraging, highlighting ongoing confidence among Italian consumers in our product’s eating and nutritional quality, as well as its sustainable production.”
