N.Ireland - Simmental cattle

Two young members of the Northern Ireland Simmental Club from Fermanagh have qualified for the national finals of the breed's stockjudging competition.
 

 
Alan Burleigh and Zara Stubbs, who will be travelling to the East of England Show near Peterborough, to compete in the Simmental Young Members Association National Stockjudging Competition.

Alan Burleigh and Zara Stubbs will be part of the team of four from Northern Ireland to compete at the British Simmental Cattle Society's national finals at the East of England Show in Peterborough on Saturday, June 7.
 
Alan came joint first in the qualifying competition at Robin Boyd's farm at Portglenone recently at which two under 21 and two under 30 years members were selected. Zara was also selected as part of the team. Zara is Northern Ireland Young Members' Co-ordinator.
 
They will be acompanied to the event by Robert Forde from Tempo, a member of the British Simmental Society's Council.
 
Fermanagh has been to the forefront of stockjudging in the past.
