Benin - Expanding poultry industry

 CDPA-Agrisatch of the African Republic of Benin recently opened a poultry complex in Tori-Bossito.
According to local government sources, the modern complex was built on a 25 hectare site and includes 4 houses with 25,000 layer hens in each. It is also understood that the complex has feed facility withan hourly capacity of 5 to 6 tons.
The cost of the project was estimated at 4.5 million euro.
Established in 1989 by Jean-Baptiste Satchivi, CDPA-Agrisatch entered the layer hen business in 2004. The company has partnerships withTerrena and Soproda of France.
