A pocket book of key facts about the strength and vitality of the beef and sheep industry has been produced to highlight the huge benefits the sector brings to the country.
Proud of Beef and Lamb includes ten key facts, from export levels to water use and the number of people employed in beef and sheep meat production, to act as a handy reminder for producers and stakeholders about some of the achievements that make the sector great.
RABI's Cornwall County Farmers Ball
Tickets have gone on sale for the Cornwall County Farmers Ball, run by the RABI and held at the Pavilion centre at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, on October 20.

Climate-change expert at Layers' AGM
Jonathan Scurlock, the NFU's chief adviser on renewable energy and climate change, will be the guest speaker at the West Country Layers' Association AGM on October 9, discussing current issues about renewable energy. The AGM takes place at Padbrook Park, Cullompton, at 6pm.
The association has a busy schedule this autumn, with a course on pullet-rearing on September 12, a foundation course on poultry health and welfare on October 3, and an advanced health and welfare course on November 7. More details on 07966 558386.
Mobile feed dispenser runs off solar power
