Congratulations to all our colleagues who have gone above and beyond the call of duty – we heard some truly inspirational stories at this year’s Asda Awards.
The 15 awards were presented at a ceremony in Liverpool as part of the YBM conference on 31st January and the finalists received a standing ovation to welcome them.
Our Colleague of the Year Award went to George Ethical Trading Manager Indira Chauhan for her work to improve the working conditions and lives of workers in Bangladesh, India and China.
Our President and CEO, Andy Clarke, said: “We’ve heard about a lot of our colleagues of the year and how they’ve changed the lives of the people around them, but when you are changing the lives of people around the world that’s extraordinary, and that’s just what Indi does.”
Indi also went on to win the Integrity in Action Award for showing integrity in everything she does. Indi will represent Asda on the world stage at the Shareholders’ meeting in Bentonville.
