UK - Increase in pork production

Clean pig slaughterings for July 2012 were 964,000 head and pig meat production was 78,000 tonnes, according to the latest statistics from Defra.
Pig slaughterings were 3.2 per cent higher than in July 2011 at 964,000 head.
Pigmeat production was 78,000 tonnes, 4.2 per cent higher than in July 2011
