A major beef demonstration will take place in Ennis Mart next Wednesday at 7.45pm.
The event will focus on helping farmers to maximise the profitability of their beef production system.
Along with a live demonstration on selecting stock for slaughter, representatives from Bord Bia, the Irish Farmers Journal, ABP Ireland, ICBF and Teagasc will give presentations covering the market outlook for steers, selection of replacement stock using the new maternal index and how to prepare weanlings for sale.
Strategies for dealing with tight fodder supplies and management of grass swards for the remainder of the grazing season will also be discussed.
