Australia - Bankers appoint new farm CEO
04 Feb 2012
One of Australia's largest cattle and sheep producers has a new leader.
Paraway Pastoral owns 3.5 million hectares of property in New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
It's appointed Jock Whittle to the role of CEO.
He moves up from the role of business operations manager for Paraway and replaces David Goodfellow who has moved to Elders.
Paraway Pastoral has recently purchased more properties in central west Queensland.
Director Tim Hornibrook says they don't intend on expanding any more.
"We've come to the end of the aquisition phase of the fund, so our focus right now is just about delivering on our operational performance so we can meet the objectives of investors," he says.
